Between working 80 hours a week, training myself 6-8 times a week and raising my family; the newsletter has taken a back seat. Now that I have a bit of a handle on things I’ll be sending out two or three issues each month.
If you’re on Face Book, you might be interested to know that I now use my own FB page to post video clips and other fitness-related items. Feel free to add me as your friend. Just type in "Maki Riddington."
I’m also working on getting a new boot camp/Maki Fit website up and running. This project should be completed in about a month’s time. Stay tuned!
Fit Bits: “Fit bits” are pieces of information pertaining to the fitness industry which I have found to be interesting, humorous or just plain ridiculous. Too Old To Exercise?
I am a firm believer tha no matter how old you are, it is never too late to reap the benefits of physical fitness. Age is merely a number. If you are committed about becoming stronger both mentally and physically, age should not stand in the way of making your fitness goals a reality.

Nutrition Tip: ![]() Kill Those Cravings If you’re having a difficult time controlling your cravings in the evenings, those urges can be curbed by eating more protein throughout the day. Try adding in a protein shake, nuts, low fat cheese, or increase the amount of protein you’re having with each meal.Training Tip:
Full Body Blast Total-body workouts beat any split, any day of the week. If you start training all of your major muscle groups every time you go to the gym, you'll be on the fast track to bigger muscles and higher fitness levels.
Maki Performance Training: A Testimonial
I started training with Maki almost two years ago now. I was always at the gym, giving it (what I thought was) my 100%, but I started to get bored and wondered if I was training to my full potential. A friend of mine mentioned that she and her husband were training with Maki and how much they liked him, so I decided to give him a try. The results I have noticed since training with Maki are outstanding. I feel stronger, more confident, and the changes in my physique are amazing. I trained with Maki throughout my recent pregnancy and not only did it keep me strong and healthy, within three weeks postpartum I lost all my pregnancy weight plus a couple of extra lbs! Maki is very knowledgeable, genuine, and always gives his 100%. He cares about his clients, has fun with them, and at the same time is able to give direction and that extra “push” we all need. -Cheryl Hamada Powerful Quote “When people can’t do something themselves, they want to tell you that you can’t do it.” - Chris Gardner Business and Class Updates If you have any suggestions for a Specialty Class you’d like to see offered, please drop me an email.
