Here's an email I received from a client who shared some of her goals with me. I encourage everyone to share their goals with somebody. It does help.

Funny when I got this inspirational piece I had just got my calendar out and penciled in my goals/plans. Guess they should be in ink! But it was done. My New Year starts on a Monday every year. My rational is “the last weekend fling with the fridge”. Monday back to reality. So my goals/classes are set.

Then I get the next inspirational segment (polite talk for guilt ridden jab) but not to worry, I’m on track. Just like you I was tired after work but I worked out anyways. Okay slightly different, I went to work, called my dentist and had a tooth pulled by noon on Monday, laid whining on the couch with Oprah, Ellen and Rachael Ray until six and went to my first yoga class. Yoga is like watching paint dry from different angles/positions but I will give it try.

I had to quit my swimming each morning after 25 years (due to traffic I’m down to 15 minutes) to get to work on time. Yoga, Monday and Thursdays nights replace that, Thompson on one week day and Sunday mornings and then my all time favorite, Maki morning, Saturday.

There are also food diet plans. I’m giving up wine and starting to drink coffee, again so sad.

So here goes! Happy New Year Maki!
