Client Expectations

All of my clients are dedicated to building a better body. In order for me to work with you I ask that you show up on time, train hard, follow all my instructions, make a commitment to train with me for a period of time and make up all missed appointments. If you do this I can guarantee you the results that you are looking for. It's that simple!

Are You Talking About Me? PDF Print E-mail

google_adsense_referral_program_us.jpg

I appreciate it when my clients talk about me. Of course, there might be times when some of it isn’t all that good. I mean, if something I said or did prevented you from using the washroom regularly for a couple of days, or driving a car properly, or cause you to change your Facebook status to cursing me, I can see why there might be some negative talk. :-)

But that’s why people train at Maki Performance Training. They’re looking for a challenging workout that will push their limits, and progressively work changes both in their body and in their mental attitude.

I appreciate the good and the bad talk because, at the end of the day, regardless of what body part isn’t working properly, my clients are working hard at getting themselves in better shape. And I’ve been given the opportunity to be their helper and guide.

The best advertisement I can ask for is word-of-mouth. It’s the life-blood of my business, and I know that a lot of new business is the result of referrals from satisfied clients. 'Word-of-mouth' is a powerful marketing tool, and the fact that clients pleased with my service have been referring me, is a powerful testimony to its quality and value.

So I want to thank you for talking about me, and I hope you’ll continue telling others about what I’ve been able to do for you. . . and what I can do for them.

Stop Making Excuses PDF Print E-mail

At Maki Performance Training I do my best not to discriminate. Especiallywhen it comes to the age of a client and their capabilities during a workout.

I plan on being very active when I am in my golden years, and by making sure I train in a safe and effective manner which maximizes my fitness capacity (barring any unforseen circumstance) I strive to never let age be used as an excuse. In fact I will use it as a source of motivation to fuel my workouts and train harder.

Don't get me wrong, as we age we should be aware that our ability to do things with efficiency decreases. However, don't get caught up mistaking this as a sign that you are unableto achieve your fitnes goals.

If there is a will, there is a way.

Pleae watch the video below, and then think twice before you use age as an excuse.

Why I Do It PDF Print E-mail

Sometimes I find myself questioning why I spend long hours training people. It's easy to forget when you've been doing it for so long. Then I receive an email from a client and I remember why I started in this business.

Hey Maki,

I just wanted to tell you that you've really made a difference in my life... I went from hating exercise, to really looking forward to it... I feel so awesome after my Monday workouts and I actually have fitness goals now.  I have more energy and feel happier too...

Thank you!

She's not an athlete, or someone who wants to drop 20 pounds. She is someone who found me over the Internet and knew that I could help her look at exercise in a different way.  I'm glad she is going to make fitness a part of her life.

This is why I do it.

Testimonials

"My primary goal for training with Maki was to get educated on the basics of weight training. With a strong emphasis on proper technique, and ensuring I understood why I was doing something, he set me up for continued training on my own, even after I moved out of the city. Maki showed me how to structure my programs with the correct set of exercises, how to maintain the right level of intensity, and most importantly, how to minimize the risk of injury."
